About Us
North American Outlets (or NAO) is a web-based outlet shopping service. For over fifteen years, NAO has been partnering with leading outlet stores based in North America, including Canada.
Our services include an organized listing of outlets available with searchable inventories through our esApp. What is Si? It is an abbreviation for shopping intelligence. Most questions regarding the Si can be answered by accessing our FAQ.
The Shopping Intelligence chatbot is the way to go... The latest statistics show that at least 21% of millenial use an app over 50 times per day. The majority of these apps are shopping apps and loyalty apps for food and other consumer goods. Most apps have to be downloaded and updated regularly. They consume space on the device and also contain tracking capability.
There have also been instances of apps going beyond tracking and resorting to spying via camera or microphone without the user's consent. Web-based apps eliminate these issues.
The number of app users overall continues to rise since it is estimated the there are 2.8 billion smart phone users globally. App usage is growing exponentially as more smart phone users embrace this form of shopping. Crazy as it sounds, the averge American smart phone user checks their phone at least every ten minutes.
The NAO Easy Shopping App is a web-based app that requires no download or updates to your smart phone or device. The benefits and ease of use are making the esApp into a go-to shopping tool.
Peace of mind and easy to use, check out the Si chatbot and start saving on everyday online shopping.
About Shopping Online
As we slip from the top of the manufacturing world, we look for landfall and the next logical step was retail. The wealth that was generated in North America would need to be spent at some point and this was the generation to do the spending.
It seems like it was not that long ago that we welcome our first strip mall along with the simultaneous expansion of our city malls and construction of supermalls like the mall of America located in Minnesota for example.
Ah, what could be better than a line of stores selling cheap stuff. The catch was that most of the inventory was not even made here. It was manufactured without oversight in some foreign country. The result in some cases was poor quality merchandise, however with prices that cheap, we could afford to simply buy more.
Another downfall to this scenario was that the merchandise was not only being produced overseas, but in many cases but underage children or adults treated unfairly. Long hours, harsh conditions, and of course low pay could be expected in places most of us would rather not see. All we want is our cheap merchandise to fill our shopping carts with.
Manufacturing took a direct hit on American soil. Most US manufacturers of consumer goods just can't produce their products cheap enough to compete. This is due to government regulation, the high cost of medical benefits, and unusually high corporate taxes.
Throw in real estate taxes, ridiculously overpriced liability insurance, costly utilities, and other business expenses and we can clearly see why American manufacturers have such a hard time competing. To be quite frank... it's actually much easier and more cost effective to open a mall kiosk or a coffee shop where employees can be employed part-time.
It makes perfect sense why we have evolved into a retail and service society, actually the term "perfect storm" fits just right. This is where the story begins to unfold. Without sustainable employment with a full time wage and benefits, it's increasingly difficult to travel over to the mall to shop.
Consumers are left scratching their heads, and retailers find themselves doing the same. It is a known, proven fact that societies with a larger middle class in comparison with the upper and lower class, have a more stable economy, one that is capable of grwoth in the retail sector. People need to work before they can spend and that is where the problem lies in North America, and the United States specifically.
We hope to see this tough time come full circle, whether it be through political change in the USA, or economic growth in Europe. We can only keep our fingers crossed that the shopping generation can survive.
